Teaching Kids About Strangers
Teaching Kids About Strangers At this stage my kids are 3 and 5. If someone says hi to them, when they’re with me, then I naturally encourage them to say hi back. However in light of recent events here in New Zealand, it got me thinking about the fact that we should be teaching […]

KIDS PARTIES: DINOSAUR PARTY
ROAR!
There’s a ‘THREE-REX’ in the house!
– THE INVITATION –
– DECORATIONS –
Keeping it simple, yet effective, I found this cute idea (via Instagram user ) of hanging the words ‘THREE REX” above the table – it was the perfect backdrop. I found a number ‘3’ Heidi Swapp Marquee light for $10 on clearance at Spotlight last year, which looked really cool all lit up.
I put a photo of Master M in an orange frame we already had in his bedroom and put his green soft toy dinosaur next to it.

Dealing With Kids When They’re Being Jerks
Dealing With Kids When They’re Being Jerks Kids are the best and worst thing in the world, and sometimes at the exact same time. They bring so much joy to our lives, and make us laugh to no end with their crazy, silly antics. They also know how to push our buttons, seemingly at the […]

Kids extra curricular activities – how much is too much?
It is a real privilege to be able to give our children the chance to be involved in different activities outside of school. Beautiful Blueberries!
Blueberries are HUGE in our house right now. They have become as sought after as a packet of lollies with everyone complaining if they don’t get their fair share! But unlike lollies these little blue treats are a nutritional powerhouse containing higher antioxidant levels than just about every other fruit and vegetable. They are also […] Read more…

Girlie Pretty Party
As always my starting point is the invitation and I build the party from there. Etsy is my go to place for party printables when I don’t have time to design my own. I chose this design from Westminster Paper Co. They emailed me the finished invite and I had them printed on the spot at Warehouse Stationery.

Summer at the Beach With Kids
Growing up I fondly remember spending countless Summer days at the beach – whether it was playing on the grass, building sand castles or actually going in for a swim, sometimes (more often than not) all of the above. With the recent weather bomb we have had over the country, I know most of us […]
