Smallfish – ecommerce

.

Do you want to sell online?

Don’t know where to start?

There are so many platforms around from Itsy, Felt, Amazon or you may want to sell through your own store such as Shopify, Woopress, OS Commerce to name a few.

Have you heard of the kiwi owned company called Smallfish? Well they are just down the road from me in Wellington and they offer a great easy, affordable option for selling products.

Small fish

The best thing about them is that the support is New Zealand based.  So no waiting on time differences to get help.

The back end is simple and many options for customisation without the cost!

It is mobile responsive which I think is very important as this is the way of the future.

They also connect in with Vend (another NZ company) which is an inventory system and more, Xero (another NZ company) which is a small business accounting program and Swipe HQ (another NZ company) and Paypal.  Not all platforms enable these features and if they do you need a very techy person to sort it out at a rather large cost.

I see no reason for small business to build customised websites as technology is moving so fast and unless you have loads of cash to spend on IT there id no point.  The better option to is to use a pre hosted platform such as Small fish.

So who in our community are using Smallfish, well so far we can see that Two Little Feet do and Munch Cupboard who moved from an OS Commerce platform.  I am sure there are many others out there, but if you are looking make sure you really do consider Smallfish.  Just click on the link below to see their website.
