Gingerbread Reindeer Cookies
I love the smell of gingerbread! To me they smell and taste just like Christmas, giving off all sorts of warm and cozy vibes. I imagine they are perfect when paired with a mug of steaming hot cocoa (perhaps not so perfect for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere at this time of year […]

Wholefood cookbooks
I’ll let in on a little secret I’m a super average cook. Yep not that great at all. Mr Ecochick is the chef in our home. He’s JUST AMAZING!!!! I always say I married him because he can cook (I’m half joking!). He really is amazing he can open the fridge and say we have this and this we can make this, that, and this! so my secret? I use a lot of cookbooks! I often use the recipes straight from the cooks or I change them to use what I have in the house. Cookbooks should be a stand alone amazing recipe or be an inspiration for a meal. […]

Sprouting
Sprouting is super easy and actually very fun. There is so much talk about why we should sprout basically it makes it easier for our bodies to digest and also unlocks some of the “sleeping” goodness inside. Why do I do it? Because I love seeing the little steams and seeing the beans come to life! I don’t always sprout my beans but I do always soak them mostly to reduce their cooking time and also then you can see which beans are “alive” and which are dead. I’m using the word beans but I also mean legumes, sprouts, seeds and nuts. If you’re soaking/ sprouting nuts it’s usually called […]
