What’s your blog all about?
I blog about our everyday life. I live in the city centre, but my section is slowly becoming self-sufficient through our garden, which is growing by the month. We are also planning chooks, and other wildlife include four very obnoxious cats and birds… Living near the Avon River, we enjoy nature, photography and family things… And learning how to survive the teenage years, earthquakes and other natural disasters :)
Why did you start blogging?
Because if I didnt write things down to document it, or take a photo of it, sometimes events/places/times/people got *glossed over* in amidst the busiest times. I like to savour some of the beauty around us. Very *green and organic* and also, I love growing things, so I can show people who dont believe me (kind of like – if you dont have pictures, it didnt happen….)
What is your favourite part about blogging?
The sentimentality of remembering, re-reading things, and I like to document things – seeing it online in an order – Im too forgetful to write every day in a diary, but when it is blogged – there it is, all just *THERE*, being able to refer the family to it is very cool…
How do you manage juggling family life with blogging?
Things often get scribbled down to refer to later… or I ask around for ideas before I blog… They all roll their eyes and say *are you going to write about THAT Mum?*
Any advice to new/other bloggers?
Start small, and it grows on you… before long, its every week, every day or sometimes twice a day :-)
