Bookish – See You In the Cosmos

Hey peeps,I’ve just put down Jack Cheng’s debut novel ‘See You in the Cosmos’. The novel is aimed at the tween/teen age category but it’s a great read and I think plenty of adults would find it really enjoyable too. It’s tempting to say the book is writ… Continue reading

The Bachelor NZ Season 3 Episode 3. On Command.

We are in to the second week of The Bachelor NZ, so much potential.   Note to anyone who is considering using my photos, please credit me, I spend considerable time watching the episodes and creating them myself.  If you use them without crediting me I will contact you and ask you to remove them. Without further adieu, here are my thoughts from The Bachelor NZ Season 3 Episode 3. Date Card The first date went to Jess (The edge fan fave) they headed to Great Barrier Island. Why is he always wearing a suit?   He doesn’t seem like a suit kind of guy, he looks much more comfortable in ‘normal’ clothes. They seem to really like each other, but I was still slightly surprised when he gave her a rose, on the flight back she totally looks like the cat that got the cream. The first group date Surf life saving at Pakiri.  Let the games begin! Um so why did Stephanie say that?   I thought it was really odd. The girls all competed in surf life saving activities, the prize was alone time with Zac and the ‘winner’ was Allie, all Zac really had to say about was her was how how stoked he was that she looks like Kirsten Dunst, whatever floats your boat mate. I die when the girls act like Zac set up the whole caravan picnic himself, I bet the are asked to say things like that but it just feels so fake, but I just need to tell myself that it;s a reality show it is not real life 😯 . The Rose Ceremony. Taylas Sacrifice SO she chose to be on The Bachelor instead of her brothers wedding, I don’t think that’s a very noble thing.  She values family so much but she chose a man she didn’t know over  family occasion that she will regret not being part of for the rest of her life. Ninas freakout I think she was suffering from a combination of sensitivity and a little too much wine, it’s understandable but toughen up Nina you can do it – unless you get voted off. Marianas chat He seems a bit scared of her, he said “I don’t wanna waster your time” well that says it all, run Mariana he can’t handle you Queen. The Roses in order 1. Lily 2. Sophie 3. Belle 4. Claudia 5. Lucia 6. Rosie 7. Viarni 8. Hannah 9. Tayla 10. Didn’t catch her name sooooorry 11. Stephanie… WHY SHE IS SO YOUNG FOR HIM 12. Nina 13. Molly Bye Mariana, you are too good for him, on to better things. Save Save Save Save Save Save Save Save Save

TIME FOR ANOTHER FAMILY PHOTO

There’s a new Mrs Robertson…

Yesterday morning I woke up very early and lay in bed trying to figure out why I was feeling upset about David’s big day. It made no sense to me because I’m happy that he has a new person and even happier that they were getting married.  Just beca… Continue reading

I feel as though I don’t have much to say these days. There’s certainly a lot going on – work being done, washing hung out, schoolbags packed and groceries bought… but I don’t know how much there is to say… Continue reading

Cigna Round the Bays half marathon, Wellington, & our youngest running the 6.5km!

I run because it makes me feel free of thought. When I run I feel like I’m meditating (not that I’ve ever done that successfully, but it’s how I’d imagine I’d feel if I made time to meditate – though with a more elevated heart rate!). Running frees my mind of thought. I only think […] Continue reading
