The Garden Shed, Mt Eden – Auckland Eats.
The Garden Shed, Mt Eden – Auckland Eats. About Mt Eden Mount Eden is a suburb in Auckland, New Zealand whose name honours George Eden, 1st Earl of Auckland. It is 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of the Central Business District (CBD). I have had the pleasure of dining at The Garden Shed, Mt Eden many times. It is definitely in my top 5 places to brunch in Auckland. Give me a few minutes and I will tell you why. My food this time… the burger here is perfection. Fries were hot, aioli dip well prepared. Meat cooked to perfection (medium rare). Service just right: not too much or too little, polite and attentive. Food and drink arrived in perfect time. The Food It’s tasty, freshly cooked food by a proper chef (no bought in ready-prepared meals), and is value for money (check there Menu out online here) The Decor The atmosphere is great, lively and the elbow room is sufficient. This interior is simple with room for dozens of indoor potted plants. Many have been arranged on recycled wood, and even hang from the walls and ceilings. The Staff Prompt friendly and welcoming. Always available, constantly checking in and refilling our drinks without being intrusive. Save Save Save Save Save

I might quit blogging. It might be a good thing. A healthy thing. That’s not even a reason, though, is it? It’s an […] Continue reading

An Apology To My First Child
An Apology To My First Child Everyone always seems to apologise to the second born child (or the 3rd, 4th, etc etc) for “not doing it the same as the first”. The second born (or whoever) often gets the apology because the Mum didn’t do the same thing as the first child. Like the […]
