There’s a new Mrs Robertson…
Yesterday morning I woke up very early and lay in bed trying to figure out why I was feeling upset about David’s big day. It made no sense to me because I’m happy that he has a new person and even happier that they were getting married. Just beca… Continue reading

Cigna Round the Bays half marathon, Wellington, & our youngest running the 6.5km!
I run because it makes me feel free of thought. When I run I feel like I’m meditating (not that I’ve ever done that successfully, but it’s how I’d imagine I’d feel if I made time to meditate – though with a more elevated heart rate!). Running frees my mind of thought. I only think […] Continue reading

Cute Kiwi Cushion Free Pattern + Tutorial
Meet my cute kiwi cushion! Nothing quite like a little national pride and what better than a Kiwi. The small fluffy flightless bird of New Zealand we name ourselves after. Not the equally small and fluffy fruit which we know as kiwifruit rather than just ‘kiwi’ as I have noticed many other countries do. This […]

Smurfs The Lost Village (Review & Giveaway)
I am a fan of the Smurfs. I used to watch the cartoon as a kid. As an adult, I watched both of the recent films. Now a new movie is coming out that looks like it is going back to the shows roots. The newest trailer for Smurfs The Lost Village is online, you can see it below. Sypnosis Smurfette (Demi Lovato) attempts to find her purpose in the village. When she encounters a creature similar to her in the Forbidden Forest who drops a mysterious map, she sets off with her friends Brainy (Danny Pudi), Clumsy (Jack McBrayer), and Hefty (Joe Manganiello) to find the Lost Village before the evil wizard, Gargamel (Rainn Wilson), does What I thought There is a lot of comedy, some nice action, and the animation is beautiful. It is full of color that brings everything in this trailer to vivid life. I think this is taking the series in the direction it needs to go. I even shed a few tears at the end…but Emily (Miss 8) didn’t. It felt very true to the original cartoon which I watched so many years ago as a young child.
