Why did you start blogging?
I came to the realisation that my days (and nights) are all being spent doing things for other people and that there was nothing left for me at the end of it, no space I could call my own.
I felt like I needed to find a few minutes each day for something completely selfish. Preferably something selfish and non-fattening because when I’m feeling cranky I usually console myself with food.
So I started a blog, my selfish space. Having a blog is so narcissistic it makes me blush when I think about it so I try not to think about it too much and instead just enjoy having a small space where I can vent.
What is your favourite part about blogging?
The comments! I am surprised and thrilled that people are reading what I post and taking a minute to connect with me. I am loving “meeting” new people through blogging.
How do you manage juggling family life with blogging?
On the odd days when I manage to get both children in bed and asleep at a reasonable hour I sit down with a cup of tea and type as though my keyboard is on fire. I usually have 4 or 5 draft posts in progress.
Any advice to new/other bloggers?
Start a new post whenever you think of something you want to write about – even if you save the draft with no more than a sentence it gives you something to come back to when you have more time.
