No. of Kids: My little boy Lucas is 20 months old and we have another little cherub due in late March 2011.
Current City: Nelson, NZ

What’s your blog all about?
My blog is a journal of my  various sewing endeavours and inspirations. I’m quite thrifty by  nature, so many projects are cheap to make, upcycled or have used free  patterns.  Of course, sometimes I find something that is just “to die  for” and I have a budget blow-out!  Before family life, I worked as an  Office Administrator, but I don’t miss it at all.  Motherhood has been  very good to me.

Why did you start blogging?
I think I was boring a lot of non-sewing  friends with my enthusiasm and I wanted to find an interested  audience!  Haha, well that’s partially it anyway.  I really love  inspiring others and sharing ideas.  Reading other blogs has been a  huge source of inspiration to me and since becoming a mum I’ve found  sewing, craft and writing to be a fantastic sanity keeper.  It gave me  a creative outlet and something beyond smelly nappies and cracked  nipples.  I figured that even if no-one else ever read it, that it  would be a great database of my projects that I could draw from.

What is your favourite part about blogging?
I love getting feedback  from other people.  It’s so nice to see some inspiration rub off onto  someone and know it’s helped them create something unique.

How do you manage juggling family life with blogging?
It’s all done  while my son sleeps, although I’m not sure how it’ll work when this  next baby arrives.  I think I’ll need the blog for sanity even more  then!  My Hubby is a computer enthusiast too, so in the evenings we  often both sit in the lounge on our computers.  It sounds so anti- social but even when we were first married, we used to link our  computers up and play games together!  Lol, we’re two nerds that were  made for each other.

Any advice to new/other bloggers?
Just jump in, be yourself and enjoy  it!  Also, if the blog ever begins to feel like a chore, put it aside  for a little.  It should always be fun and something you are in  control of.  Life has enough chores as it is!
