Meet Claire Reichert – Girl on a Missi0n /
No. of Kids: 1 human child who has recently turned 2, and one doggie child who will be 4 in October.
Current Location: Auckland’s North Shore (yes, where all the other “South Africans” seem be living too).
What’s your blog all about? Girl On A Missi0n is about my everyday life as a wife and mum. I share
the things my family and I get up to, along with the things my toddler gets up to, the milestones he achieves, the odd recipe, DIY, product review, and just
general ramblings of a mum trying to manage working full time and still
managing the home.
Why did you start blogging? I needed something “else” to do, something that only I could do really. It’s also a great way to document my son’s life, so he can look back
one day and see just how many grey hairs he gave me.
What is your favourite part about blogging? Getting to know other mummy bloggers, and being able to share my experiences with them.
How do you manage juggling family life with blogging? It’s hard, especially because I work full time as well, so I only really get to blog on the weekends or after work, and the last thing I want to do when I get home from work, is stare at a computer screen again. I guess that goes with being a blogger though.
Any advice to new/other bloggers? Network as much as possible, join link up parties and visit and comment (meaningful comments) on other blogs, otherwise you have little chance of getting noticed. And have fun!
